interesting about Steeler ticket holders. I thought I was unique. I bought my tickets as a HS senior in 1969, and went off to IUP. I haven’t lived closer than 250 miles since 1975. I’m currently in NC, 523 miles away. The worse they suck, the more games I sell and stay home.

DK, as a “former” Stiller season tix holder, I can expound on the situation. When you have them for such a long time, you are spoiled. As I get older, tailgating became less important, HDTV quality now makes home better, I do think the Stillers need some fan turnover.

Yes, they are sold, but thousands end up for resale on the ticket exchange. Many for face value. Now if the Steelers want kids to get those tix for free that’s a problem. But they could buy some of them back and do their own student rush if they wanted to.

DK, I don’t entirely agree with your answer about football attendance. Any person can buy a ticket these days through the ticket exchange. There’s always tix available. I blame poor product, HDTV’s, and the NFL twisting itself into pretzels with their rules and flags.

My thought regarding the 40% of ticketholders living out-of-state: institute a special exemption (temporary, perhaps) to allow ticketholders living outside a certain radius to sell their PSLs on the open market to residents with the radius.
