I am a Duke alum, but was raised on Pitt basketball. I follow both teams closely. Duke looks good early, but I’m concerned about our reliance on the 3-pointer, which has been a real issue in the past. Everyone talks about Okafor, but freshmen Justise Winslow, a slashing small forward, and point guard Tyus Jones both are wonderful players. Duke should be very good. Unfortunately, I’m less confident in the Panthers.

On a positive note, Chris Jones is showing some serious potential. When he’s at his best, he makes you go, “Wow.” He had a couple of step-back J’s off the dribble tonight that had a Kobe-esque smoothness to them. Looks like he may be the next great find by Jamie.
