A weekly look at what’s new, what’s coming on our site …
• The implementation of the new commenting platform yesterday is only phase one, and that’s because the very same system — in appearance and functionality — is heading into the app. And I’d be lying if I didn’t confess that I’m way more excited about the latter.
The design of this platform was aimed primarily at the mobile user. It’s simple, fast and … well, my 13-year-old girl thought it was awesome, so we ran it through the toughest test of all.
The updated apps for Apple and Android are being sent out this weekend. Apple takes a handful of days for approval, while Android is pretty much instant. Either way, I’ll let you know when they’re out, with full instructions about updating both. And the best part is, any changes you make on the site or the app — whether your username or avatar — are automatically reflected on the other.
