Really don’t know what to make of this team right now. If we keep beating the teams we’re supposed to, we might be able to muddle our way to a .500 conference record, and who knows after that? This week is going to be a tough one, I’m afraid to say.

He was the most impressive freshman point guard I had seen at Pitt, but unfortunately he has not yet blossomed into the same level player as some of his PG predecessors.

Hard for me to think of Newkirk as”best” of anything, unless it might be rally killer. He showed a lot of promise last year, but this year “meh”.

Pitt really misses a tall and good big man.
