I watched the game last week and this game. How the hell does Ovie get away with leaping into players? Don’t the idiots know that is a penalty? If the POS Rinaldo does it, he is gone but not the f#%ker Ovie.

When this team plays their best hockey they can beat anyone. Sometimes, historically perhaps too often, they rely too much on their talent or lose their cool – but increasingly these traits appear to be less prevalent. That said, it’s a competitive league and the Pens are not a sure fire lock for the Finals or certainly not a lock for the cup. But I agree with the GM – this is a solid group and we should enjoy a deep run this spring if the intensity level is consistently sustained. Go Pens!

tonyragano, the jury is still out on the 3rd and 4th lines. I’m not ready to say that they’re too weak to make a run in the playoffs, we haven’t seen how Winnik will fit in, and how that will affect 3rd/4th line play. To say that they won’t make it past the 1st round is far more skepticism than I have. They might, they might not. A lot can happen in the last month of the regular season – remember 2009 when things looked bleak before they changed coaches. To say that DK is lost about the Pens is complete nonsense.

upjicecat, your Letang and Fleury bashing is just wrong. If you can’t see that Letang is having his best season ever, and is one of the top 2 or 3 in the league, you aren’t watching the games. If you think that Fleury played poorly in last year’s playoffs, you weren’t watching the games.

Bennett’s fault. He tripped racing to get the phone call and got hurt. Kind of a bummer Jagr ended up in Florida. Especially since it doesn’t seem like the Devils got a ton back. Of course, would the Pens even have those picks to trade?
