• As good as the Riverhounds felt about their come-from-behind tie at Saint Louis FC last weekend, they felt just as bad about this afternoon’s 1-1 home draw with Louisville City FC.

The Riverhounds led through 90 minutes, but Louisville’s Kadeem Dacres hooked a stoppage-time drive from 20 yards out past goalkeeper Ryan Thompson and just inside the right post.

Thompson, who otherwise had a second consecutive strong performance, didn’t react to the shot immediately, as it sailed around the body of midfielder Danny Earls. That half-second delay cost Thompson, with the ball curling inches outside his reach.

“I saw the ball late,” he said. “I could not react to the ball, and it was behind me. I always say, ‘Just give me a chance,’ because I’m usually good enough to get that ball.”
