One by one, the Pirates rushed to the bat rack, then to the box, then pounded away at the poor pitcher, some 22-year-old slider specialist for the White Sox named Carlos Rodon, like some over-the-top scene from a classic Warner Brothers cartoon ...

Yep, just like that.
After a walk, single and wild pitch by a visibly rattled Rodon, Andrew McCutchen shot one through the left side for the first run.
Jung Ho Kang took that route for another.
Francisco Cervelli dropped the first real anvil on Rondon's head with a triple to the gap in right-center, one that brought two more runs and one of the most spirited hey-the-catcher-got-a-triple reactions you'll ever see.
Once Jose Tabata gave Cervelli a breather by singling to right-center, it was a handful.
And before Bugs Bunny had a chance to flip that gun barrel back the other way -- Rodon was lifted after 3 2/3 and a seven-spot -- the Gas-House Gorillas trounced the Tea Totallers, 11-0, Monday night at PNC Park.
