Anyone but that scrub Tyler Kennedy, unless he helps the Penguins cap situation by paying the team to play on it. Bum has been stealing an NHL paycheck for too long.

there’s other reports the pens want to sign another KHL wing. which could be one of the smartest things ever. you have basically no draft picks so go outside the box to find talent. if it pays off great, if not you lost 1 million.

This guy hits HARD!! He seems like he has a scoring touch as well. Personally, from the highlights, I love the guys enthusiasm. You can see his passion especially when he scores. May not be anything terrific necessarily but definitely a solid asset for a good price

Those hits are harder than anything the entire team hit last year. Wow. When you say grit, this is what I call grit. I realize the opponents are not NHL but he showed a finishing touch, a one-timer, and an initiator of hits, something long lacking on this team. I await further moves but for the price, size and age are all good.

Here’s the truth of the matter, the Pens HAD to try something like this. They traded away pics for years fearing a “small window” when in actuality the trading of those first round pics helped shorten the window. They have no quality, skilled wingers that are playing on a cheap contract and they have no picks with which to get any. The Blackhawks have picked in the first round for 18 straight years and as a result have young talent to fill in around their expensive core. The Pens young talent is all on defense which means you have to let Martin walk and hope to land a decent winger via some kind of trade. To fill out this roster this team HAS to hope for getting skilled players at a discount. If the KHL provides that then that is the option they have to look at.
