And every team feels the same way we do about him. Ownership is never going to change unless they want to. A GM or coach is easy money and a fall guy. Where I believe Shero lost his job was the Kunitz, Scuderi, dupper signings. Even the Danny b contract, if he didn’t do those things I believe he still would be the GM.

Every time I watched the guy (admittedly just my own limited sample size) I see great hands and passing skills, particularly in tight. Toss out year he broke ankle and lockout year and dude has averaged 20 G per season. On THE BLUES, no less.

See him as undervalued. Would make this deal in a heartbeat.

I have been thinking this for a while now. No doubt that Shero had his faults and can place blame on him for bringing this team down at the end of his tenure. And the same thing will happen with GMJR. I do feel like there has to be some** blame on ownership. Mario/Ron never actively promoted that “win-now” mentality that Shero used. But they never outwardly discouraged it either. If Mario/Ron did not like what Shero was doing they could have pulled the trigger on him way earlier and now we are in this mess.

Is it really tough to not see that Shero was doing what he was told to do, win cups. Every year he did his best to do that. Now JR walks into clean up duty but then moves draft picks for the same thing. I believe this boils down ownership ‘ s mentality. That explains why JR’S last press conference was about getting younger, buy outs, and winning. Now though, it’s about a big move for a winger and giving a YOUTH player for it. What changed? Ownership is trying to sell. Buy outs and youth isn’t exactly something a potential buyer wants to hear. Making a splash for a named winger? That is more appealing than a youth defenseman no? Shero and JR aren’t perfect and I’m critical as anyone but, seeing how JR is swinging back and forth with what to do means there isn’t a clear path from ownership or it changed (my vote). Love all the comments.
