“That was … I mean, it’s amazing. It’s … I don’t even know.” This came from the guy who went 0 for 5, mind you. Struck out three times. Stranded two.

"That was ... I mean, it's amazing. It's ... I don't even know."

This came from the guy who went 0 for 5, mind you. Struck out three times. Stranded two.

He was giddy. Bordering on delirious.

It was minutes after the Pirates achieved the impossible squared, topping the greatest game in PNC Park history with ... well, the greatest game in PNC Park history, also by a 6-5 count, also over the archnemesis Cardinals, also on national TV, also in extra innings.

Gregory Polanco did these honors in the 10th.

Pandemonium ensued. The crowd of 33,544, the collective consciousness of Pittsburgh, and heck yeah, the participants ... all collectively lost it anew.

Oh, and double-duty for Greg Brown, too.

But so did Andrew McCutchen, the one wearing the 0-fer less than 24 hours after the ultimate Cutch Clutch. And man, did he lose it in the most wonderful way.
