No… but the Brew Crew are their daddy. They stink. You cant be owned by a bad team. Not if you wanna make a run. Black and Gold colored glasses dont change the situation. We have weak spots on our roster. We get swept at times by awful teams. Gotta do better than that to avoid a wildcard game. Aint sayin nuthin…. not talkin bout your mama…. just sayin.

Actually, if you look at the innings, he’s played about the equivalent of 63 games. So it rounds to an error every four games. If you’re OK with that, fair enough. I know he is presence offensively. But that’s some remarkably bad defense.

Errors may indirectly cause runs. They give the opposing team an extra out which leads to a quicker turnover of the batting order and cause your pitcher to throw more pitches. Impossible to calculate such effect but an error in the 4th may affect a run in the 6th.

First off, there were 74 games after this ASB, so only one player misses a start. And that player would then be lined up to start game 1 of the playoffs. And, the guy in the 4th slot can always be held back if that last game is meaningless.

Maybe Hurdle doesn’t want to pitch his #3 starter in the biggest game of the year again?

I keep hearing people destroying Pedro, me included, but i heard some interesting stats recently. I was listening to a local YouTube sports show and they were saying how Pedro’s errors hardly cost us runs, this game not included, and never cost us games. Remember he’s played 75 games total at first base and he has shown a bit of improvement, especially not going after every ball to his left. Maybe his errors can be the next Matt’s Stats?
