MILWAUKEE -- The Pirates could be without Jordy Mercer for quite some time.
Mercer, who has emerged as one of Major League Baseball's steadiest defensive shortstops, was sent back to Pittsburgh after an ugly-looking knee injury sustained during the final game of an ugly series for the Pirates, who lost to the Brewers, 6-1, Sunday at Miller Park.
Are the Pirates angry with Carlos Gomez, whose slide injured Mercer?
