gwc is correct financially, though I might not agree completely with the draft pick valuation since, unlike options for spending, draft pools vary in strength of player available. The third round in 2016 could project to be stronger than the second round of 2017

I think we all are holding our collective breaths in terms of health and being able to stay on the field together building chemistry and trust. I still have the feeling that the signing of Will Allen is as important as any this off season.

an INVESTED dollar today is worth more than a dollar tomorrow, but $1 bill today is > $1 bill tomorrow. That was the point I was making about why you would always trade a 2013 4th rounder for a 2200 1st rounder. because of time value of money the 4th rounder today is worth more than a 4th rounder in 2016 so trading a 4th for a 3rd (plus one year) is probably not that disparate a trade. Not trying to Troll just think it wasn’t that big of a gamble for the steelers to trade that 4th for a 3rd +1yr. again, not trying to distract from the article, the Shamarko stuff was terrific.

You are right, my expectations seem to be high above hof level for Troy. Great player, really a game changer. My oponion probably comes from how much I was traumatized every time he was injured, and treated that time as lost opportunity. Btw Neal, great start to your tenure on DK, really insightfull articles.

This is not a shot at you.

You’re view may say more about your expectations of Troy than it does about his career. Did he miss tackles going for big hits, sometimes. He had injuries.

But he was consistently great and frequently brilliant. I mean jaw dropping, “How the $?&$ did he do that?”

I was lucky enough to have seats on the sideline when he jumped the line in Tennessee and at the home game vs SD (11-10) game where he had the one handed interception. Never forget those plays. All the Titans fans wear stunned. Well, to be fair they were stunned from the opening kickoff when A. Brown returned it for TD.
