In my opinion, part of paying for a subscription site (even the steal of an amount we pay) is the privilege to be critical about coverage or lack thereof. I support and appreciate what DK does now and in the future, and any expression of disappointment or "complain (t)" about missing Pirates coverage is because we respect the product and want the person in charge to receive honest feedback (both good and bad) so that it can improve. That doesn't happen if dissenters are blocked or if everyone blows smoke and says they are hpy bout this when they are not.

If any sport is over analyzed it is the NFL. There's a lot of necessary analysis when there are 162 games and a lot of over-analyzing everything when there are 16. Yes, missing 1/81st of the season isn't a big deal in context, but I disagree with your reasons why. Coverage of these pirate GAMES is far less likely to lead to "analyzing to the point of overkill" than coverage of football conditioning and walk-throughs in shorts, before pre-season games are even occuring. It is not the concern about over-analyzing that makes you okay with this.

As I said above, I'm a baseball fan. Never been a hockey fan (went to a fist fight once and a hockey game broke out). I root for the Steelers, but the best thing about the football season is it's that much closer to Spring Training.

Not upset at all over the lack of coverage in Minnesota. Short, two game interleague series against a non-marquee opponent.

I'm with you two guys as far as baseball. It's what I live for sports-wise.

Football, I can take it or leave it. All the legal stuff and concussions have become a real turn off. I still like hockey but my interest has waned over the past few seasons. I really don't see another Cup coming in the Crosby/Malkin/Fleury era and things definitely won't be the same once Mario cashes in. I used to be into Pitt basketball for a while but things have gone downhill there too.

but I also think this is the time for a company to hear its consumers. Company quickly grow big enough to not hear individual customers.

Fwiw, I have no problem with the way coverage has been divided. At times I wonder if baseball is even analyzed to the point of overkill, myself included. Not much of a hockey guy, but I have a feeling this site will become the premier Pens site in the city.

As always, wish you continued success.
