With mercer and JHay back by late August-early Sept. Bench will be okay.. We NEED another starter. No ifs and or buts.

TS. Not to be a devils advocate , but with JHay and Mercer coming back I can only see one spot available and that is a backup 1b that can hit LHP. If that’s what you mean I agree

Jones is not a top prospect. Not even close. He’s 23 and should have been mashing high A pitching, and he didn’t even come close to doing that. Doesn’t mean he won’t turn things around, but he has to do it very soon, or he’s going to miss the bus.

Napoli is still hitting lefties, and lefties are the only pitchers he’d see here. His problem is that righties are killing him, and 71% of his plate appearances have come against righties.

A couple of nice moves, but if NH doesn’t seriously upgrade the bench, it will all be moot.
