If you want to give a ton of weight to the 0.2IP/9ER game, that’s your prerogative as a “fan”. King Felix has had a couple of those already this year.

Charlie could’ve given up 5 ER in the 1st inning of that game and he’d have a sub 4 ERA. But he gave up 9, so it’s over 4.

8 quality starts out of 15. Gets into 7th inning in half his starts. Team has an 11-4 record when he starts.

You take that 100% of the time from a #4/#5 pitcher.

Of the 21 qualified 2b in MLB, Walker has the 6th best offense. And the 2nd worst defense. Combined that puts him squarely in the middle of the pack.

But the defense clearly indicates his days as an effective 2b are numbered. His range has deteriorated to Jeter farewell tour territory.

A nice job by NH assembling a decent pen. I wasn’t sure about Blanton or even Cameniro moving forward, but it’s really rounded into form.

I really don’t know what to say about the defense and baserunning. It is what it is. Hopefully they hit and pitch well enough to overcome it. I’ve never seen a team this far above .500 night after night, give away so many outs. They just know how to finish I guess.
