CRANBERRY TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Sidney Crosby laughed at the purely hypothetical notion that he and Evgeni Malkin could fight over Phil Kessel this season.
But the smile didn't leave his face as Crosby spoke of how he and Kessel might mesh.
"I love Phil's speed," Crosby was telling me today after another informal skate Thursday at the Lemieux Sportsplex. "When I think of Phil, that speed and that quickness are the first things I think about. That's exciting for me to get a chance to play with a guy like that. If I'm with him, I know he'll get in on the forecheck and use that speed and that shot to make things happen. I definitely think it would work well."
