Steelers don't budge on non-QB contract policy

It’s longstanding Steelers policy to avoid reworking non-quarterback contracts that have multiple years left.
Kevin Colbert said Wednesday that won’t change regarding Antonio Brown, whose deal is up after next season.
“He does have two years left,” Colbert said, appearing on PFT Live with Mike Florio on NBC Sports Radio. “We expect that to be honored without any issue.
“Again, Antonio’s a unique player. We understand that. He understands our policies. I don’t ever see that changing, as long as we still have the mindset that it’s been good for the organization. He’s a special player, and we’re just glad we have him for two more years anyway.”
Brown is coming off a 136-catch, 1,834-yard season, both tops in franchise history. Based on Brown’s production — his 355 catches over the past three seasons are the most in NFL history during any three-year stretch — he should command at least $14 million per season.
