Pigskin, DK. But keep you hands on wheel if you’re driving to Cleveland.
    .
    Beautiful fall day for game.

    1. DJ says:

That would be “YOUR hands on wheel . . .”
      .
      Sorry, pre-coffee.

  2. Ed Fleming says:

DJ beat me to it. Although the Browns kind of are pig kin.

    1. DJ says:

      Very nicely done, Ed.
      .
      Guess it works either way.

  3. Sarah says:

Did anybody see the Craig Adams quote about team toughness?
Why is this guy on this team??
I’ll try to dig it up….

    1. DJ says:

      Missed it so send it.
      .
If he says anything along lines that Danny B’s teams as tough, not going to like it.

      1. Sarah says:

        Letang noticed it.
One of the few Penguins who always defended teammates in past years, Letang was pleased to see two new teammates come to his aid.
“That’s what we need,” he said. “We need to stick up for each other. I appreciated those two sticking up for me. It was nice to see.”

      2. Sarah says:

Sorry had to split up the clip, dang character limit!!!

  4. Sarah says:

Only one player in the locker room dismissed the notion the Penguins weren’t tough enough last season
Right wing Craig Adams said the Penguins weren’t in a position to retaliate against Staal in the spring because being short-handed in the postseason isn’t worth retribution.

    1. DJ says:

Adams hedging his bet for when Danny B gets a job. Lifetime employment in NHL not such a bad thing.
      .
Someone should ask Sid (or his neck and head) if he agrees with Adams’ comment.

      1. Sarah says:

Really I thought Adams was a goner. Even JR basically called him out last year. How is he still getting a jersey?

      2. Sarah says:

Make no mistake, Sill is going to destroy Staal first time we play NYR, just like he clobbered Dubinsky.
        Mark your calendars.

        1. DJ says:

Sill or Downie, take your pick. Will have front and center seat for that one.

  5. Sarah says:

“I just shake my head at that stuff,” Adams said. “That’s what playoff hockey is. The best players are usually going to get a rough ride. That’s part of winning in the playoffs. That’s why it’s so hard to win. It’s part of the sacrifice you make. If we had gone out and given them four or five power plays, I don’t know that doing that would have been the best way to handle it.”

    1. DJ says:

How about one guy immediately intervening to pound Staal into submission from the jump to avoid necessity of 3-4 later PPs?
      .
Guess for Adams no reaction is best reaction. Yeah, Craig, that’ll do it every time.

      1. Sarah says:

Don’t forget Hank dumping his water bottle on the Captain’s head.

But yeah Staal should have left that series on a stretcher. Disgraceful.

    2. DJ says:

Adams: “That’s why it’s so hard to win. It’s part of the sacrifice YOU make.”
      .
Yes, Craig, we’re so glad YOU sacrificed, showed restraint while Sid was getting pummeled, all for betterment of team. Wise choice on your part.

  6. aglebagel says:

Guys, “pigkin” is referring to Browns fans.

    1. aglebagel says:

Dang it, missed Ed beating me to it up there.

  7. Sarah says:

Shorter Adams: “hey Sid, Geno, suck it up, bros. we can’t be expected to take a penalty just because Staal two-handed a home run swing to the back of your neck.”

  8. Sarah says:

Didn’t this guy go to Harvard? does he realize he’s not playing for Bylsma anymore? I wonder how that went over with team. Sid reads the papers.

  9. cherokee23 says:

Couple things…..Sid also said they “could have done better job protecting” last year. As politically correct as he is, that’s a pretty strong statement bout how he felt! …….also, Bumgarner is pretty good!
