by Dejan Kovacevic • Videos • Steelers

DEJAN KOVACEVIC, DK ON PITTSBURGH SPORTS Doesn’t exactly take work to get Le’Veon Bell to open up. So when I say I had a good talk with the young man this afternoon after the Steelers’ practice on the South Side, what I’m really saying is that he talks about as well as he runs and

Is this the Steelers' thread?
After hearing about Sanders' performance last night, it got me to thinking that maybe the Steelers' drafting isn't the problem, certainly not on offense. Further evidence? Wallace, Brown and the guy above in the video.

Good point. Sanders was board-hands extraordinaire at times with us but he looked like a world-beater last night.

Defense drafting may need some help.

Totally agree with this -- I think our draft picks have been fine, it's just the way we've been using them. The talent is there.

Forward lean/yards after contact is huge. One of first things noticed about him. Very rare this kid gets stood up or driven backwards.

Great point, DJ. He seems to have that coveted ability to rarely take a clean, hard shot. He always seems to sense where hits are coming from, & I think that enables him to gain the extra yard or two on impact.

Watching these spontaneous interviews with him makes me wonder what the hell happened to cause him to smoke up and get in that car. In a way I'm glad it happened early so that he can get this lesson out of the way. I think in 2 more year this guy will be a def leader on this team

Hopefully, he truly learned a lesson. Avoid crap like that situation going fwd & he has a chance to become one of the top few RB in the league.

He seems like a good dude. Just needs to grow up a little.
