On location: Penguins 4, Lightning 2, final

Full Strength? They haven't had a full squad since the 8th grade picnic. However they will win tonight 3-2

It's true, and a bunch of kids at Children's are being tested and possibly quarantined also.
I really feel for BB. If some kids wind up getting sick, imagine how awful he'll feel.

This is a cheerful story...

That's a very interesting story, Sarah, thanks for posting it! If what those whistleblowers said is true and Merck overstated the effectiveness of the mumps vaccine, that might help explain this current outbreak around the NHL.

What's most interesting to me is Crosby's recent booster apparently not being enough.
Some crazy new strain maybe?

The vaccine, even with two doses, is only around 85% effective and this is well known. This is a very communicable disease, in a communicable environment being handled by doctors with little to no experience with it. I think is fair to ask why wasn't more precaution shown by the Penguins and around the league.

Late line per Savrin Geno, Comeau, Klink

Oh good....much better! Why do I follow Pens Twitter anyway???

Although Sarah, I sorta liked the Malkin-Sutter-Hornqvist.
The way hair-on-fire Geno has been playing I don't think it matters where ya put him! lol

He seems to be the only Pen who showed up to play so far.

Not bad, though not sure they can stay in it being out-shot 2-1, and taking penalties.

Should be about 6-1 right now.

Come on Sarah, enjoy, glass half full not half empty. :)
Its December with half a team out there, certainly could be 6-1 but it ain't. Pens get a point outa this I am more than happy.
Flower playing well, young guys gettin some time....hanging in there against a good team.
Enjoy

Sitter is in fact highly predictable with that placement. A bit lucky tho, hit the shaft of the G's stick I think....

For this 2-1 score, we can thank the goalies.
At both ends.

"5th line scoring' Love it!
Mind if I use that like I thought it up myself ! LOL

Go right ahead Pucknut, to think there was a time I thought that a healthy Bennet and a trade could push Sill from the lineup and Spaling to the 4th line. But its only December, injury situation was about the same at this point last year.

Amen and Amen, Nutzie!

Softer dumps into the corners and forechecking. Plus, some counter when TB opened up. They won't be able to sit in that 1 - 3 -1 in the third period.

I think is completely fair to ask why more precaution wasn't taken. Not sure sports writers are the best people to do it, but it does falls with in their domain.

Didn't get going until 2nd pd. Fleury kept them in the game during his team's lethargic 1st.
