Astros 13, Pirates 7

Pirates

1. Josh Harrison 3B

2. Francisco Cervelli C

3. Gregory Polanco RF

4. Neil Walker 2B

5. Starling Marte CF

6. Pedro Alvarez 1B

7. Jordy Mercer SS

8. Jaff Decker LF

9. Jeff Locke LHP

Also scheduled to pitch: Charlie Leesman, Jeremy Bleich, Jared Hughes, John Holdzkom, Blake Wood, Rob Scahill, Collin Balester, Deolis Guerra, Josh Wall.

Roberto Hernandez, aka Fausto Carmona. Worley pitched very well on Sunday so it's Locke's serve today.

Very interesting note in 12 Questions about Archimedes Caminero. I was sitting behind the scouts looking at the radar guns on Sunday. It was amazing how he was comfortably sitting at 95 and how easily he got to 97 and 98 when he needed it. Like DK said, these are the nice problems.

Love love love the Marte>Alvarez>Mercer connection.

Each guy stands to help another in that order. Smart lineup construction.

Grossman taking it to his old team.

I think we know who won't be a starter.

lo

Locke was shelled I assume?

I don't know what is more painful, Pirates pitching or Stros radio.

Pedro hitting a first pitch sac fly to left field, with runners on 2nd & 3rd and 1-out, is exactly what I want to see. Forget the situation, the approach and the execution is what matters. I hope I see it a lot this year. 3 run HRs are nice, but a baseball score is cumulative.

I've missed the Greg Brown/Bob Walk banter

I think the weather was the highlight of the day. That and Neil's homer. Time to cool off and find green beer.
