Wow! Orioles have their Big Boy line-up going today.
Every starter except Weiters, who has an irritated elbow (who da thunk it?).

Guess they want to look like they are going for the win at home.
Bucs have two starters———Polanco and Mercer.

Liz better be hard and low today!!!

Liz threw the ball very hard and down near the knees when I was down there.
Pimentel threw the ball all over the place. But I was there early.

Radhames Liz will be the Tim Wakefield of early '90's.
Stolmy Pimentel will be the Stolmy Pimentel of 2014.

Haha, always appreciated, Buddy!

Agreed. I would like to know as well.

Been 7 years since this guy was in the show. His WHIP was horrific. Hope he has some new tricks, or they did something.

Did you read Travis this morning NMR? What are your thoughts on Locke?

Just read, and agree, but I don't think the Locke/Worley battle is nearly what it's being made out to be. Worley's job to lose from the start, and neither has done anything to change my mind on that.

Worley over a full season won't be nearly as good as he was last year, but he'll still be a fine 4/5 and does exactly what the org wants; throws strikes and gets grounders, *consistently*.

I also don't see much of a market for Locke in terms of getting enough value for him to make it worth losing even more depth. Just not that interesting of an arm in an era with so much good pitching.

Just a small guy, they cant hold up over a full season IMO.

Got to see Jordano's 500th win yesterday. Slugfest against Akron.
Your boys beat them in extras Tuesday.

Pitt has a nice kid in this Maldonado. Seems like he can play

Billy Wagner, Elroy Face, Pedro Martinez would disagree with you, Bullpen Nate!

You will. He'll lead today's On the Scene entry. I live to serve, NMR.

As if I ever had any doubt. Many thanks, as always, DK!

Pedro came in as an Expo at 160 pounds. Never did get much bigger: Baseball Reference lists him at 5'11" and 170 pounds. I don't think he reached either!

If Pedro had tree trunk legs, the rest of him was like twigs.

Either way, "little" guys CAN hold up over a full season.

They lost a ton off of last years team. But the program has come a long, long way.

I'm hoping to get down there again and see Zeuch pitch. Big kid, built like Hughes and Holdzkom. He was drafted by Royals out of HS if I remember correctly. Not sure on the round. I imagine later.

They gained the most, competition wise more than any other at program at Pitt. I think their depth will be light years ahead than it was in the Big East. Couple more years.

Goodness!! Just as I hit "Post" Pimentel gives up a first pitch homer. Jeez.

Righthanded Jonathan Sanchez!

Pimentel really likes the Pirate organization.
His pitching performance is trying to guarantee that he stay in Pirate organization when they send him down . . . . no one will want to pick him up!!

Home run, single, double to wall, walk . . . . . . Pimentel going for cycle here!

Stinks.

As Milo would say, "stinks".
