News/views: Tomlin covets corners … obviously

The sky is blue? What city do you live in? Seriously, when I first heard of 50 Shades Of Grey, I thought it was a documentary about Burgh weather. Oh but speaking of cornerbacks, take Cortez Allen. Please! (I got a million of them!)

I do have a great question, I think, for the Tuesday Q's. Since the Steelers need a CB to come in and start, I wonder if they'll trade up to get Trae Waynes or one of the other top guys? I'll post it as a question for DK later, but I'm curious what everybody else thinks.

We could only hope for trae waynes. that would be smart. waynes going to be a stud. so they will take bud dupree instead because why would the steelers be sensical.

Both he and Colbert went to the Mich St pro day, Rico. It should be noted, however, the Ravens need a corner too. And they have a lot more picks to move up with.

I would like it depending on the price. Waynes will be hot commodity though.

Correction. Tomlin, Carnell Lake, and Brandon Hunt, Pro Personal coordinator.

Waynes would be incredible, but trading up for a corner is pretty risky. What if they traded up last year to get Gilbert...yikes.

I don't know about Gilbert specifically but DBs in general take a few years to develop. Ike and Troy were no different. That's one reason why I think this defense could be bad for a few years.

Thanks!

I kind of thought coachy was intentional…Shakespearean in a way…the way "county" would be used for count

or "duchy" would be used for duke

As he intends, obviously.

Ike will not be killed off!

That's an awfully positive spin - one could just as easily say that their secondary still stinks, OLB is banking on 1 average, 1 unknown, and 1 old man.

McCullers moved better by the end of the season, but the biggest elephant in the room is that secondary. It very well could be just as bad!

I'm just comparing to last year. The signs were much worse a year ago. It's not good but far from dire

Ike will not be killed off...
