Final: Pirates 8, Braves 4

The weather is way better now. Earlier it was a tropical downpour. Now it is just raining hard...park on the upper levels of the parking garage and you should be fine.

Marte is 4th today

Yeah. If anyone needs to be benched for a while, it's Walker. No range at second and very little O.

Clint's view of batting practice explains it!

Agree Kang should play but Polanco should be benched not Mercer

I wanted the Pirates to send Kang to AAA in April. They kept him up, and he flourished. I was wrong. I trust their judgement. Two reasons I believe they are doing this One, how much Kang played in Korea. Two, I think they are protecting his development. His batting avg is sky high swinging at the 1st pitch. His avg dips as he faced a starter multiple ABs in a game...basically the more a pitcher has seen him, they've improved against him.

Just an opinion.

Mercer is hot, plus Ground Chuck is on the mound

Mercer has been hitting the ball well ... even his outs have been hit hard ... a lot of quality at bats ... and his glove is a must ... especially with Morton pitching! ... Kang has never played this many games ... and his average is what it is because they pick and choose who he hits against ... he still isn't an everyday MLB player ... but he is developing ... The sky isnt falling ...

That's exactly where I'm at with it, 21. Kangs still a rookie. You don't want to overexpose him. Then you'll have another struggling hitter.

I agree, you have to start Mercer w Chuck starting.

Kang is 28. Let's not wait until he is 30 to see what he can do

Got your wish ... Kang is in the game ...

Perfect time

Ha ha Durka.

You or I might give up the Kingdom, but Huntington wont. Which is probably the wise course.

OK ... ball settled in the corner ... good play!

PERFECT .... and needed to be!

MLB wants to speed up games but takes a lot of time to review totally offsetting the "speed of play" rules. Max 1 minute and if you can't overturn the call it stands

Clearly Atlanta saw Cinci be effective going up and in on Cutch with no repercussions so they went with the same plan. Got hit yesterday and nothing happened. Charlie needs to drill someone.
