Agree, two key positions, CB and TACKLE and now both could be sabotaged. Goodness, already thin at OL Tackle, and now the best guy to help the CB slot hurt. Rookies, unless a stud, that miss 2 weeks fall significantly behind.

If you think the loss of a rookie who hasn't taken a snap is going to sabotage any position then you're a fool. Gay's going to play in the slot anyway.

Bruce was looking good in his limited time against the Rat Birds, before Ben put himself back in the game and threw the game killing interception.

Remember, we did okay with Charlie Batch when Ben was out and Batch is on no one's great QB list. Ben is slightly underrated around the league and vastly overrated in Pittsburgh.

However, Coach Cliche hasn't proved to me that he can win consistently without a franchise QB and a great defense. ZERO playoff wins in 5 years.

Looking around the league, not many teams have a backup quarterback you'd feel comfortable starting... because usually those guys are starting. Bruce is just OK and that is OK. If you want to complain about Landry Jones being a terrible draft pick, I am on board.

Name a team that isn't toast if their starter goes down. It's easy to say that addressing the backup QB position is important, but almost impossible to do anything about it. Like it or not, the Steelers will succeed or fail primarily on Ben's health, even if they get a decent backup. The offense is built around what he can do, and no backup will come close. When you spend that much of the cap on your franchise QB (that's the only option in today's NFL), you rise or fall on his health. That goes for every other team with a top 10 QB.

Mcc, I am sure of the logic of that. What was the major comeback? Was his shoulder that bad? Why was there no information if a major issue; a major issues a dislocation in any degree.

@TheGreatOne21 He tweeted that quote. He wouldn't bother tweeting about a minor setback unless it was slightly more than minor. If it was just a day or two thing he would just let it blow over.
