Final: Riverhounds 3, Hammerheads 0

In modern football, starting with Claude Makelele, the key to the defense is the holding midfielder(s). Stephen Okai has played that role often superbly. The defensive slump of the last three games has coincided with him being yanked in and out of the lineup, largely to compensate for the deficiencies of the single striker in the preferred 4231 shape and put on a second striker in a 442 formation, which is either too conservative or too wide open depending how it is played. It is time for a new formation that plays to the strengths of the current personnel.

Matt, what are the rules for loans between the USL-MLS? Can the MLS side call back a player anytime it wants?

They need a solid game tonight, whatever lineup or formation they run.

Matt have any MLS teams been sniffing around Vincent?

When you have Vincent, who needs a striker?

Wish I could have been there. Sounds like it was very exciting.
