On location: Steelers 27, Falcons 20, final

Any word on Julio Jones?

at least Julio is out . one less wr to worry about.

Question is which Steeler team will show up today. This season they remind me of Longfellow's poem The Little Girl with the Curl

There was a little girl,
Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
When she was good,
She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.

How will they ever replace the 1 rush attempt for a half yard average by Dri Archer?

This has all the makings of a shoutout on a fast track indoors. If we get good Ben, this is a win.

Julio will not be down by the school yard today. That's huge.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed the Steelres are putting things together to close out the season, when it really counts. They've proven they can beat anyone, anyplace. This season has also shown they can lose to anyone at any place as well. Let's all hope the Black & Gold have put those losses behind them.

Watching the game today @ 10 am here in Los Angeles. Hoping the only interesting thing I need to comment on is the clientale and the miniature dogs I see in the bar...

They get down to the 25 yard line throwing the ball and then run the ball two out of three times?? What the ?????

Very nice coverage on that kickoff. Let's hope Hester can be limited like that all day.

Mike Mitchell is horrid.

Second dump off from Ben to Bell. Second nice gain.

All Suisham does is kick 38 yard field goals

Who needs a high octane offense when you have this shut down defense? Amirite?

Steelers try that offsides call too often. One day they need to actually snap the ball and catch the defense off guard.

The offense comes out stagnant again against the worse defense in the league. They should not have to punt against this team.

At least they let the punter punt this time. I hope they're setting that up for a big play when it counts sometime, because right now everyone knows we're not gonna run a play

Nearly halfway through the second quarter before the Falcons cross midfield

Ridiculous! Announcers calling that a high hit. BS! What these guys sposed to do

That was a textbook hit on Ryan, why was the flag thrown? Once again the refs hand the opposition a touchdown. The NFL is a joke.

What a gift for Atlanta. Ryan gets sacked but it's a penalty?

15 yard penalty for playing football.

For cripe's sake what was wrong with that sack on the QB????

Terrible call on Worilds' hit, guess you can't hit the chest anymore

Roughing call? What an officiating dumpster fire

Worst corners in football but we draft Archer--not even dressing!!!

Flags like that are why the NFL will eventually lose a large portion of its fan base

The roughing penalty was terrible. Hit him square in the chest face mask up. Announcers just brushed right over it.

Just checking into say this league is joke, textbook tackle. Way to reward terrible pocket awareness.

Let's see. You can't hit the QB high. You can't hit him low. Now you can't hit him middle either?? Awful, terrible call. Give them flags. Ridiculous.

Why aren't these horrible refs ever fined for blowing calls? These idiots should be fired on the spot.

Just put the flag belts on the quarterbacks and be done with it

After the hits Ben takes every week that don't get flagged, I don't know how that is a penalty. WOW.

The only answer to these "calls" is to allow coaches to throw the red flag and review the hit. A team can't afford to get a letter of apology from the NFL after the fact. Rack that touchdown up to the refs....baaaddd call.

I would like to hear from the NFL exactly what was illegal about that Worilds hit on Ryan just a minute ago. From what I could see, Worilds head was up and he wrapped him up around the waist. Other than the collision being at full speed which I believe is still allowed, what made this a penalty?

Falcons seem really geared up for Bell. Ben gonna have to make em pay

Lambert was right. Let the QBs wear dresses.

Offense laying an egg again. Field goals, field goals and more field goals. Atlanta gets across mid field--ONCE--and puts it in the end zone.

Did he drag that toe????

Once again the ref who called AB out of bounds is about 100 years old and can't see through his glaucoma. Obvious catch, how do you blow that call?

Does the ref crew have compromising pics of the announcers? That catch was an easy call and they brushed over the terrible roughing penalty.

Throw, throw agains the Falcons. They are putting 10 men within 5 yards of line of scrimmage and firing backside when we pull the guards, leaving very little running room for LeVeon.

Tomlin at halftime "We did what we had to do, obviously..."

My God, is this football? If so, it's un-watchable, and Roger needs to get that message.

Tomlin at halftime concerning the penalty in the sack "everybody has to live with that. I'm for the protection of quarterbacks.

Yeah....Mikey is afraid of getting fined by the God del. However, they should still be told what was wrong with the hit.

Pitt's Tom Savage plating now for the Texans after Fitzpatrick hurt.

No lead is safe with this defense.

Another bad call. This officiating crew thought it was illegal to stiff arm a defender in the facemask. These clowns don't even know the rules. Or they are just blatantly trying to keep Atlanta in the game. Either way the whole crew needs fired.

Can't Tomlin ever get these guys to shut up and play football instead of stupid penalties??

Actually, no lead is safe with these officials.

Does Jarvis Jones EVER make a play??

We're going to need three more touchdowns to win this game.

Mike Mitchell with his biggest contribution to the team so far this year!

Defense holding up its end. Time for offense

Hey, look the refs blew another call on that Ryan run.

Bet there aren't many complaints in this instance.

Refs keeping Atlanta close.
At this rate, they will pull out the win.

Tough to win playing 11 vs. 18.
Do the officials get graded? Is there a grade below F?

Hey Déjàn, what's the crowd split?

MITCHELL MADE A TACKLE !!!!

Jarvis Jones got knocked back to Pittsburgh on one play--another horrible draft choice

Thank god for Willie Gay

Horrible defense

Any word on how you get a job where you just stand up shuffle your feet 20 times a game and get paid millions of dollars? See: Cam Thomas.

This game and season rests with the offense. Need another score

Was that Cam with the big stop???

Falcons let play clock run down to 4 seconds before punting - mike smith clock management on display

Amen...thank you "defense" and offense. But most of all, thank you HEATH! Clutch call, pass and catch.

Great must win. Fire Haley--this team has no offense. Where are his naysayers at this moment??

Steelers win. Clowns shut out. Good day in the AFC North. Shame the Birdies won.

Nice road win. Enjoyed it. Let's hope the "good Ben" keeps showing up.

Good-bye 8-8.

I judge the attendance of Steeler fans at an away game by the Volume of "Heath'"cheers after one of his outstanding plays. They were surely present in the stands for this Atlanta game. It was also nice to hear MT acknowledge our fans in his post-game conference, obviously.

A win is a win. But the NFL is joke with so many average to below average teams. Nice job elevating one position at the expense of 21 others. 20 points on the 32 ranked D is not exactly lights out. But Dejan may have the last laugh on his 11-5 prediction. Me so many flawed teams especially in the AFC is what passes for professional football these days. Jones is such a bust as to expectations by the brass as the top 6 talent in the draft. Really Mike? Has Williams passed another high draft pick in Shazier. I think he is a player with upside talent wise. Nice game Johnny football.I am sure he will sell a lot of jerseys in Munchkin land.

So all week, every columnist I read said we had to score 40 to win. I whole heartedly agreed. Just goes to show you how unpredictable (for better or worse) this team can be.
