Doesn't look like a strong start for Rodriguez.

Lambo still can't hit for some reason

Easy there, Durk. Cutch doesn't have any hits yet either.

Cutch has nothing to lose like Lambo. Just for nervous for the guy haha

Health is the only thing that matters right now, IMO. Hard to pass any early judgement until the pitchers work deeper and start working in a lot of breaking pitches. Like to know how Josh's ankle is.

Andy Van Sabremetric and/or New Mientkiewicz Regulation

What is O%Swing? In reference to the Rumbunter article. Are those pitches purposely thrown out of strike zone or incidental?

O% seeing is just the percentage of times a batter swings at pitches out of the strike zone. Pitchers intent is not relevant. Sandoval had the highest in the league last year, swinging at an astonishing 48% of the pitches thrown to him outside the strike zone. He managed to make contact on about 80% of those swings, though. Josh lead the bucs with about a 39% o swing.

only relevant if you disclose location of the pitch

Thanks. What did you guys think of that piece? I was surprised Burnetts wasn't the curve. Although that thing has good days and bad.

Can't help but notice the Pirates are scoring 1 run every day.

"Oh, it's early."

"It's only spring training."

Uh huh.

Not worried about the offense yet...the pitching has looked on point. Lots of guys taking ABs from the regulars.

Call me when all 8 take the field at once. Excuse me if I am not worried when Jaff Decker and Steve Lombardozzi are on the field not to mention Andrew frickin Lambo as the DH. And Ngoepe on top of that.

Still can't believe Andrew Lambo has been gift-wrapped a roster spot.
