Pirates 8, Blue Jays 3

Thanks JAL! Great to see these posted here during ST!

$5M for a one year rental backup catcher when the mighty Tony Sanchez waits his turn? Plus it becomes $6M when you factor in that he'd be replacing Stewart.

Don't get me wrong, I'd be far more comfortable with a 1 and 1A at the catcher position given Cervelli's health history and general status as a question mark, but... I don't see them spending the money or giving up the YoC here.

Who knows DD? By July, he's making 2.5.

Like, Milo said, a guy to watch. I've said for awhile, if the Angels fall out of contention, Chris Ianetta is a guy to watch. Hurdle connection.

I could see that, bpn, especially since by that point they'll have a better idea what they have in Cervelli (and possibly Sanchez for that matter) and whether Lambo looks like he's that lefty bench bat.

I read that as "something to consider" NOW though, and I don't think that happens. I actually think it's the money that's the problem... it's how he doesn't really fit on the roster at the moment.

That should be, actually DON'T think it's money that's the problem.

If Vasquez is hurt bad for Sox, Navarro could be headed there.
