Penguins 3, Coyotes 2 ¹²⁵

At 3:00 I'll be watching IUP (on CBS) in the Division II National Basketball Championship game. GO HAWKS! Not watching the Pens, but they're on in the background in case they ever score & I can rewind.

Save that photo.

You know it!

My wife said she heard that, no mention of it anywhere else though, strange.

Well MJ clearly believes Kunitz is a better option Top6 than Winnik, Downie, BB....and really there's nothing more in the cupboard.

I agree re Winnik.

Shooting what? 7% in this losing streak ? Today 0 for 13

So am I. He's incredible to watch.

I personally am watching BB every shift!
;-)

If the guy hops right up, its no penalty and the NHL wonders why players dive.

Ehh, Milo, he's gotta hold up when he sees numbers. That said the guy turned late and put himself in a dangerous position. Maybe hoping to draw a board ....and got it. Plus some stitches.

I hope no suspension but we'll see.....

Absolutely a major penalty. Suspension would be tough. Force of the contact, as Milo points out, wasn't all that strong.

Sarah, I can't disagree with a thing you said. That play was just very frustrating.

You see it all the time Milo, yeah it's frustrating. Even in beer leagues.
The D sees a player coming, turns at the last second and draws the board.
It has to be called. Ugly result and more than I bet was bargained for.

Yeah he didn't hit him that hard did he? The guy sorta stumbled last moment and his head got down to the edge of the boards....

An unintended consequence of the new player safety thing. Defenseman don't have to pay the price anymore and therefore don't even have to look over their shoulders for that big hit. It's made it very easy to clear the zone.

Winnie's a beast on PK.

Hope they gain some mojo from it.
