BY DEJAN KOVACEVIC

A look at the week ahead on the site …

• Monday: The 129th home opener of the Pittsburgh Baseball Club. Column to follow.

• Tuesday: The Tuesday 12 Qs return after the travel-forced hiatus last week. The file goes up at 12:01 a.m. for questions to be submitted, and we go live at 9 a.m. Later in the morning, I’ll cover the Penguins’ first full practice in advance of the Stanley Cup playoffs. And at night, I’ll cover more Pirates-Tigers. The latter two will get ‘On the scene’ treatment.

• Wednesday: The Penguins’ morning practice will be covered by our Brian Metzer. At 5:30 p.m., I’ll make my weekly appearance at the 105.9 the X studio with Mark Madden. And from there, I’ll fly to New York to begin a week of playoff coverage from Manhattan. The Pirates-Tigers finale and all the baseball the rest of the week will be covered by our John Perrotto.

• Thursday: Live from New York, first thing in the morning, the playoff preview column. At 5:10 p.m., it’s the weekly all-pucks talk on Penguins 24/7 with Metzer. And at 7:08 p.m., it’s faceoff at the Garden. That will be followed, of course, by another full column. Which leads me to …

• Friday: The Friday Insider will be up at 12:01 a.m., though it probably will be abridged in light of all the live activity. At 4:45 p.m., it’s the weekly rapid-fire segment on 970 ESPN Pittsburgh with David Todd. I’m also hoping to have a Manhattan subscriber meeting on this day.

• Saturday: Game 2 from the Garden. Another column.

• Sunday: I’ll fly back home, while Perrotto wraps up the Brewers series at PNC Park, and our Matt Gajtka covers Riverhounds-Louisville FC over at Highmark.

As always, expect News/views entries and other surprises along the way.
