NEW YORK — Our Anna Webb is now really our Anna Webb.
Please join us in congratulating her on being promoted to full-time social media director for our site, just two months after she joined us in that capacity on a part-time basis. She’ll continue to forge and coordinate connections for us on all kinds of platforms, primarily our rapidly growing new Facebook and Twitter pages dedicated to the site.
If you haven’t followed both, every little like, share, RT, fave … all of it helps.

Anyway, in addition to those duties, we’ll bring back the Anna’s Web feature as an intensive, interactive feature that will be Tumblr-based but linked out here. I’ve seen the early mockups, and it’s very cool. Expect to see it with the Steelers’ opener at New England.

• We began a second round of testing on the new app Friday. To repeat for those asking, the recent Android issues will be addressed in this build. Definitely by month’s end.
• Would you believe we’re nearing agreements on not one, not two, but three new sponsors? And one of those will be our biggest yet, one that will actually upgrade our presence to … oh, just wait for it. Expecting to announce it Monday.
• We offer an online media kit to any interested potential advertiser at the bottom of our home page, and it’s updated each month. My wife Dali does all of this. She’s good.
• We never stop selling gift subscriptions. Click the box below:

• If you are an active-duty military member or a veteran — or if you know one — let it be known that subscriptions to this site are free. Click the box below:

As a reminder: We take care of all active-duty military and always will. Our veteran subscriptions are funded by donations. Click here if you’d like to contribute.
• If you haven’t downloaded yet, here is our app for iPhone/iPad. And the app for Android. Overall app count: 12,084 active downloads from Apple, 4,288 from Android.
• As mentioned previously, I’m not going to have hard subscription numbers until this commerce platform is up and running by the end of this month. Between the construction and the influx of renewals — July 23 was our anniversary — it’s all seriously convoluted right now.
That said, here are some cool numbers my wife computed based on data through July: Of our 15,000-plus subscriptions, 55 percent are annual, 33 percent Lunatic, 13 percent monthly. By platform, 83 percent of them are purchased on the Web, 13 percent on Apple mobile devices, 5 percent on Android mobile devices.
When we went into this, we’d been sure the monthly percentage would be much higher. Then, when it wasn’t at the outset, we were positive it would soon go that way. It never really has. When people subscribe to the site, they’re choosing the longer terms.
That trust is immensely appreciated.
• If you can’t figure out something related to our site or app, please check our Support and App Support pages. About 99 percent of the questions we get can be answered right there. If your issue isn’t there, email [email protected]
• Thank you, as always, for reading and for your support.
