How to download, use our new Android app 19

DEJAN KOVACEVIC, DK ON PITTSBURGH SPORTS

The Android app for this site is available right now on Google Play, and it will be followed soon by Apple’s platforms, including the iPhones.

Here’s how to download and use the app:

1. Download the app. It’s free and takes 3-4 seconds. Easiest search to turn it up is ‘DK Sports.’

2. If you’re a subscriber, go to our LOGIN page here on the site. You’ll see a bright blue box that says, ‘Add New Mobile Device.’ Click that. You’ll see a numerical code there. That’s your token. Copy it.

3. On the app, open the menu by pressing the button at the top left, then click LOGIN. That will ask you for the token. Type in or paste the token.

That’s it. Nothing else to it. It keeps you logged in, too. And in the event that you ever do get logged out, just repeat the above steps.

Of course, if you aren’t subscribed, please disregard all of the above and subscribe!

My thanks again to Brisk Mobile of Canada for their exceptional professionalism but above all for the finished product. Easy to see why they’ve done work for Disney and NBC, among others. We couldn’t be happier, and we hope you are, too.

I have a Samsung galaxy III. I’ve downloaded the app and when I go to the login area and touch the blue box it says to add my subscription token but nothing about adding a new mobile device. I’m unable to log in

Did you find the app in the play store? I a, not finding it.

      1. Steelkings says:

You have to follow the link highlighted above : /subscription/

Select add mobile phone and this will generate the token for the app. once this token is generated you have 5 minutes to input this into the app. Once you put this in you are good!

  2. Steelkings says:

Go to the log in area on your PC and hit the “add new mobile device. It is there you will get the code to add into your phone.

I didn’t find it in the app store, but I used the “available right now” link above, and it loaded directly to my phone.

    App looks cool. Congrats dk

FYI it appears that this app has a minimum Android OS version requirement which means that will not install on phones running older versions of Android…too bad :-( ….was looking forward to this

    1. Both Google and Apple want everything pushing forward, not back. We either went that way, or stuff wouldn’t work.

  9. Ken NC says:

“Add mobile device” isn’t showing up on the Login page for me, anyone else having this issue?

    1. Dali Kovacevic says:

Log in first. The token only generates for subscribers. Email [email protected] if you need further help :)

    2. Kevin says:

Make sure you are logged in. I couldn’t see the add mobile device block until I logged in. Use the Login link at the top of this page. Login. Then the “add mobile device” box should appear.

I’m not very tech savvy, but the list of permissions seems a bit long for this kind of app. Can anyone who knows what’s what explain the permissions? If it helps, I’ll add a pretty please.
