WVU lost for several reasons but one big was they played the 4th quarter trying not to lose instead trying to win. That is usually fatal.
It was vintage WVU in a big game. This school has a long history of snatching defeat out of the mouth of victory.
Five turnovers didn’t help, either. Maybe WVU and Pitt can play in the Sorry A$$ bowl the year. They both deserve it.
Raised expectations are a funny thing. Before the season, WVU fans (like this one) were just hoping for a bowl game. Now we are bitterly disappointed for losing to a top 10 team. Yes, we could have (probably should have) won. Team is moving in the right direction though.
JAL, couldn’t agree more. They played scared and it cost them.
