Pitt 63, Samford 56, final

Durand Johnson's suspension sure put a dent into my enthusiasm for the season. Hopefully, some shooters develop as the year goes on. Hawaii looking like much more business than pleasure.

Well, they're not very good.

They get the win at 63-56.

They are going to have their hands full in the City Game.

DK, since you're not going to cover WVU athletics for the foreseeable future, could you at least put a game thread up for their men's basketball games (you've been doing that for football)? Bet you they would garner more than four comments, plus it would be nice to discuss the game action and results with other Mountaineer fans.

Went t.o this game. Small "crowd" at the Pete, and largely uninspired game. Pitt has a long way to go to be competitive in the ACC. Jamie will improve this team and Cam Wright will help when he returns.

Wow--big win over another major powerhouse.

these are games that allow teams to see what is needed and what to work on. Wouldn't get caught up in scores right now. DJ is not as big a loss as last year. I kinda like this team with a health Wright. Nice length, mobility and athleticism.
