Islanders 4, Penguins 1, final

Despres in the lineup?

Yes

Let's go Pens! Looking forward to the short work week and our return to Pittsburgh for Turkey Day. Take care. Randy in RVA.

will we ever get another PP?

So coach MJ has definitely made some adjustments

If that was MAF in goal, the litany of flopping and swimming comments would have drowned the board.

See that C.Adams 4th liners are allowed to score.

Really 5 periods against these guys and no penalties?

Islanders: Masters of the skating pick.
.
"Oh, was that you, Hornie? So sorry, my bad."

Sid -- do something. Anything.

I think the Downie experiment is about over. The dude just can't keep his cool.

Said it on morning thread. Need to avoid Isles in playoffs. Rather Flyers, Bruins, Rangers, anyone else.
.
Not a team in NHL that transitions from D to O faster than Isles.

It's rather sobering to see that the Pens aren't even the best team in their division, let alone SC material.

Ist test: F
.
2nd test: F
.
Need someone else to knock 'em off before Finals.

Looked old, slow, out-hustled.
.
Young legs skating circles around old vets.

Wow, this was depressing

iles are a bad match up for the Pens. Pens can;t match thier physical play and the forwards just hammer the Pens PMD. Dupuis is a big loss. His speed, checking and penalty killing are missed. Pens need to unload Martin now.

There you have it. Despres in, Bortuzzo out... and the Pens get hammered.
.
I just kinda feel that Bortuzzo would have brought more grit and spark to this situation—a road game, physical play, etc.

In games decided in regulation, Pens are 1-3 vs Isles, Rangers & Flyers with a goal differential of -7. Against the rest of the league they are 12-1 with a +32.

Seems like teams that they are most familiar with and/or emotionally involved give Pens the most trouble which isn't a good harbinger of playoff success.

Sid looked tonight and the last couple of games the way he looked in the Playoffs last year.
