On location: Penguins 7, Wild 2

Adams or Goc?

Well he'd better be up to MVP tonight since he's 0-5 against the Wild.

Also leads the league in shutouts but isn't All Star Game worthy.

I hope he isn't picked as a replacement. Let the guy have a rest. He's playing too many games and can use the rest.

The All-Star game is overrated.

My thoughts too, but apparently Flower is upset he wasn't selected.

Ahh. I hadn't heard or read that.

Heard it from Stan on the Madden show in the car tonight.

Agreed.
But those pgh gold pads do look like 2 schools buses strapped to his legs. LOL

They are appalling.
Call the fashion police.

Remember when those were his go to pads? Poor playoff performances and a letter from a fan telling him the pads made it easier to spot gaps between the pads and ice made him switch to the white.

Love the pads!

Sarah, you need a new photo with those pads framing you.

. . . but wear shades, given the golden glare.

Whether or not they did, Steigy is employed by the team and he's going to paint them in the best light possible. Just call it revisionist history and move on.

Yeah, and quit talking about Pedro.

Ya Steigy don't bother me too much anymore. I know exactly where he is coming from and just let some of his less than accurate statements just float away. In his defense, he does really love the game and often does make some sense. He cannot say things like DK can writ and.I don't expect him to.
Bobby on the other hand can be a bit more critical but seems to do it gently. I am impressed with a lot of the little things he picks up that I cannot see on TV. Certainly not the worst local announcers.
Just doing their assigned job.

Eh, I have been spoiled by CBC. Steigy is just an embarrassing homer to me....

Don't care much for Steigerwald at all. I prefer Lange and Bourque on the radio or even a national or away feed at times.

Impressive!

Really wish they would put him back in LW. If I had a choice of maximizing Kunitz v Perron by keeping one of them on their preferred side, I would not choose Kunitz.
Who still looks like his foot is broken BTW.

Agree with Sarah. Kunitz seems to be getting worse.

He's a joke.

Compared to the guy usually in the center , he is absolutely delightful !

Hockey obviously a misspelling.

According to the officials, what elbow?

No call because Steve Downie.

Bets on the NHL giving Suter any supplemental discipline?

Zero.
But if Downie had thrown that elbow, it's an ejection.
At min.

You'd like to think they'd look at it, but highly doubtful.

What I'm waiting for is someone to light up Suter. Borts maybe, or Sill.

Downie has not returned either. Concussion maybe. Hope not.

maybe Borts should have taken his penalty by taking out Suter not that nonsense at the end of the period

yup credit where it's due. That will keep him on PP1 longer...

Steigy is embarrassing at times.
But he's a FOM. So he stays.

Martin wants to be a free agent, Ehrhoff is youger and cheaper. And is atleast open to talking about an extension.

I was down on Erhoff early but he's been better.
Also, unlike Martin, he can break an egg with his shot, which is handy on the PP.....
Be very happy to move Martin if they could get a decent return. Harry will be the new Martin for much cheaper.

I didn't see that as dumb, thought he was tripped into the guy....but the refs are stinking it up tonight.

He did get tripped, I just meant like situationally you can't take a penalty with 5 seconds left in the period like that.

Yah...Borts hasn't been right since Tootoo mugged him.
