No apologies necessary DK!

Fan was hit in the head with a foul ball. She seems to be okay. Carried off

Why is Kang playing over Rodriguez??? Pure media stunt signing that guy.

Brewers leave town, Buccos offense back to struggling.

wsamcap

4-20-2015, 9:26 pm

Great throw home. Maybe it'll get offense going

Patrick

4-20-2015, 9:27 pm

Running on Marte doesn't pay. A strange game tonight.

steelag70

4-20-2015, 9:31 pm

Marte's arm is such a weapon.

steelag70

4-20-2015, 9:33 pm

I swear Burnett could sue for support.

Patrick

4-20-2015, 9:39 pm

It is almost like the hitters relax when Daddy is on the mound?

steelag70

4-20-2015, 9:41 pm

Sure seems that way.

steelag70

4-20-2015, 9:50 pm

You'd think the Buccos we're playing at Consol tonight.

When the games at are PNC, does someone deflate the balls? It's a true pitchers' park the last few years.

steelag70

4-20-2015, 9:57 pm

Soler, Rizzo, Bryant will be the top young group of core players in the NL Central...much better than ours I am afraid.

Patrick

4-20-2015, 10:01 pm

Hadn't had a Bad News Bucs game this season.

steelag70

4-20-2015, 10:13 pm

That should be enough for the Cubs to win.

bpn8pitt

4-20-2015, 10:16 pm

Cameniro is mortal I heard.

steelag70

4-20-2015, 10:18 pm

Soler/Bryant: 6-7, 3 RBI no strikeouts

Polanco/Marte: 1-6, no RBI, 1 run scored, 2 K's

steelag70

4-20-2015, 10:22 pm

Not counting games vs Mil on this home stand, Buccos have scored a total of 6 runs in 4 games....can't be an elite team doing that.

ledtotheflood

4-20-2015, 10:49 pm

Sho 'nuf. But when were they deemed remotely elite?

steelag70

4-20-2015, 11:02 pm

World Series contending team then...

WVStarship

4-20-2015, 11:24 pm

Everyone's a WS contending team at this stage.

Patrick

4-20-2015, 10:24 pm

Cervelli is not looking good!

steelag70

4-20-2015, 10:29 pm

Why is Bastardo on this team??

WVStarship

4-20-2015, 11:25 pm

Probably why the likes of Caminero, Kang and Lambo are on this team....whatever that reason is.

steelag70

4-20-2015, 11:29 pm

At least Caminero has shown promise in the bullpen...Bastardo has not. Kang and Lambo should be in AAA.

steelag70

4-20-2015, 10:28 pm

Buccos will be 1-6 after tonight vs teams other than Mil...

chrisgallo944

I flipped from the pens to the bucs after the game and watched for about ten minutes until the "whooos" and terrible baseball became so annoying that I couldn't watch anymore.

Patrick

4-20-2015, 10:36 pm

+++++

steelag70

4-20-2015, 10:40 pm

Cubs 4-8 WISP
Buccos 1-4 WISP

emoneypitt

This stinker is in the books. Not a good night at all for Pittsburgh.

ledtotheflood

Lambo & Kang----Altoona awaits. Actually, Bucs would deal Kang before they'd send him to Indy. Am sure he'd fuss about being sent to the minors, and maybe there are strings about his place on the roster. Lambo, however, is synonymous with Double A. The Jeff Clement of 2015 to date.

steelag70

4-20-2015, 11:01 pm

Get rid of Bastardo too...

steelag70

4-20-2015, 11:13 pm

I don't believe there is anything in Kang's contract preventing him from being sent down. NH said yesterday that they believe it's best for Kang to learn in the bigs...

WVStarship

4-20-2015, 11:30 pm

Which makes me wonder about Huntington's sanity. I thought Pirates management was supposed to do what's best for the Pirates, not what's best for Kang. The guy's not major-league ready and should be sent down immediately.

bpn8pitt

4-20-2015, 11:45 pm

Since the end of Bradenton I've been saying the Kang situation hasn't been handled well.

Sitting here thinking about, there's a chance they could send Kang down, and he struggles there too.

Smh. Might never come back. Not sure I buy all the Far East marketing plans some guys have touted on here. But makes you wonder if this could go from bad to absolute disaster. Could be unavoidable.

steelag70

4-20-2015, 11:53 pm

With the limited resources the Buccos have, I think they just got a little too creative in attempting to acquire talent.

ledtotheflood

4-20-2015, 11:56 pm

Yes. bpn8pitt makes good points. And perhaps there was more to why the Pirates "won" the rights to Kang with such a modest bid. I hope I am wrong and he can adjust. But if Mercer is back soon, Kang just sitting doesn't do much for him or the Bucs. Whereas Kang playing each day at Indy does.

Steelkings

4-21-2015, 7:29 am

Kinda makes you miss Clint.

steelag70

4-20-2015, 11:59 pm

Get used to this Cubs team...they could be scary good very soon...and they have the money to go out and acquire a major piece that might be missing from their farm system.

tdb1977

4-21-2015, 12:15 am

They are calling up Addison Russell, another top tier infield prospect.

steelag70

4-21-2015, 12:30 am

Cubs infield will now be loaded: Rizzo, Russell, Castro and Bryant...wow.
