Liking my chances with a starting line-up in which Cutch has the lowest BA and OPS among the first 7 hitters. You KNOW that ain't going to last!

Polanco out tonight with left groin tightness...Lambo getting the start tonight.

Waving At,

How's the weather in Iowa?

Fun stat: Cubs pitcher Hammel is 4 for 8 batting. Leads the majors in hits by a pitcher.

1 more hit than Addison Russell has in 22 ABs.

Arriba Wilver

4-27-2015, 6:47 pm

He'll make a great DH.

Groat2Maz2Strangeglove

4-27-2015, 7:13 pm

I HATE the DH.

I even HATE the idea of discussing the DH.

Pansy pitchers!!!!

steelag70

4-27-2015, 7:16 pm

Groat...couldn't agree more!!

Arriba Wilver

4-27-2015, 7:31 pm

I was referring to Hammel. :-)

You are never obtuse, Wilver Dornel.

Polanco has been replaced by lambo tonight. Pirates official Twitter account has posted.

steelag70

4-27-2015, 7:00 pm

Any reason listed?? Hopefully it's just Polanco getting a night off.

steelag70

4-27-2015, 7:04 pm

Ouch...just saw the reason. Polanco with left groin tightness.

I'm betting a late scratch isn't simply a day of rest

Gregory Polanco was scratched from the starting lineup due to tightness in his left groin.

Groat2Maz2Strangeglove

4-27-2015, 7:17 pm

Ya know why Polanco's groin is hurt?

BMTIB and Bob Nutting brought him up too soon!!

Lol, Groat!!! Start the Kingham clock.

Confirmed: Wainwright out for season with torn left Achilles...9-12 month expected recovery time.

JAL,

Any update on the new/changed batting order?
I'm guessing Chair-velli slides up to the 2-hole.
Mercer #7??

Maybe just the scholarship-guy at #2.

Durka

4-27-2015, 7:34 pm

Nothing on twitter. Pirates pregame will give out the new lineup probably

My MLB at bat app has lambo in the 2 spot

Groat2Maz2Strangeglove

4-27-2015, 7:47 pm

Thanks, Pickle!

pitsports49

4-27-2015, 8:07 pm

Just as I expected. Lambo slots right into the 2 hole.

Groat2Maz2Strangeglove

4-27-2015, 9:04 pm

5 pitches to Lambo ——— his bat never leaves his shoulder. K!

steelag70

4-27-2015, 9:06 pm

They are making Hammel look like Cy Young tonight. So much for those hot bats we had in AZ....

Cutch still does not look right at the plate.

4-27-2015, 9:08 pm

I think it's safe to say that the Lambo experiment is over. Snider is hitting about 250 points higher than Lambo this season.

steelag70

4-27-2015, 9:11 pm

Two hits ain't gonna get it done fellas!

It happens DK...thanks for the update!

The Pirates can't stop Bryant. Kid has been swinging a hot bat against us. Cubs will be a contender this year for sure.
