A look at the week ahead on the site …
Monday: I’d made up my mind to take yesterday off, even with the Steelers and Pirates both in action, and it wasn’t just so I could watch from the couch for once. It’s because I’m headed out on the road for a full week with the Pirates beginning tomorrow in St. Louis, then continuing on to New York. In the meantime, our week here will start with Neal Coolong’s coverage from Canton, Matt Gajtka’s coverage from PNC Park, Josh Yohe’s Good Dudes and a Dave DiCello photo gallery. Oh, and I’ll take Five Qs at 5 today.

Tuesday: The Steelers will be back in Latrobe, and so will Neal. While there, Neal will have the Five Qs. I’ll cover Pirates-Cardinals from Busch.
Wednesday: Morning Java, starring Josh and Matt, will go up bright and early. Neal has the night practice in Latrobe. Matt has Five Qs. I’ll call in for my weekly appearance on 105.9 the X with Mark Madden at 5:30 p.m., then cover more Pirates-Cardinals.
Thursday: A new Matt’s Stats gets us going, this one on Steelers. Josh has Five Qs, as well as a 3:30 p.m. appearance on 105.9 the X and a 5 p.m. appearance on 970 ESPN with David Todd. I’ve got more ball from Busch.

As if long road trips aren’t sad and lonely enough … this is our city’s goodbye. — DEJAN KOVACEVIC
Friday: The Insider, a community effort this week, will go up a tick after midnight. At 5 p.m., I’m on 970 ESPN. At the same time, my second set of Five Qs gets posted. Neal will fly down to Jacksonville for the Steelers’ preseason game on this night. I’ll fly to New York for the first of Pirates-Mets.
Saturday: More Neal stuff from Jacksonville. More me stuff from New York. And Matt will be at Highmark Stadium for the Riverhounds hosting Charlotte.
Sunday: One more ballgame by Muffler Row, and I’m flying home. Matt will cover the U.S. women’s national soccer team’s friendly against Costa Rica at Heinz Field, with Meghan Klingenberg at the top of the marquee.
As always, expect news, videos, podcasts and other surprises along the way.
