  2. Ragpicker says:

Pirates need to show patience at the plate…….figured I get this in early since my same post last night seemed to work.

    1. You’re right, Ragster, whenever you post it.

    2. Lad 9 says:

Agree, but that might be the most improved part of their game this year. They lead MLB with an on base % of .330.

  3. Radio wave says:

I would assume with rain in Chicago, it will be roof closed in Milwaukee.

  4. Andy says:

Looking forward to a nice game overall by Alvarez. He’s going to turn it around. Big confidence game for the team tonight.

    1. Patrick(ri) says:

He had better. This is a pretty important game. Nervous pitcher, you think? Not theirs.

      1. Andy says:

Oh most certainly. Buccos need that starter other than Cole to re-step up and provide stability moving forward. Cutch driving the ball opp field lat night also shows he’s locked in to carry this team forward. Hope he helps calm nerves too.

    2. DebM says:

      You called it……….

    3. Karen22 says:

Andy, you must have had a crystal ball…or IT’S ABOUT TIME!! :)

      1. Andy says:

Haha all luck! Let’s see it repeated again today!

  5. Eric Bowser says:

Snider over Polanco again. Is Polanco hurt?

    1. kr70 says:

      no Snider’s on fire

    2. Cmat0829 says:

Yes he has a strained swing.

      1. IronWicki says:

Lol. That was funny. El Coffee is struggling to say the least.

    3. Arriba Wilver says:

Hard to criticize that, unless you think we’re already playing for next year, and even then . . .

  6. camchuck says:

probably going with the hot hand….

    1. Cmat0829 says:

Not to mention polanco is like 1-27.

  7. Cmat0829 says:

Just love every time we get Gomez out. Just love it.

    1. Cmat0829 says:

      Ditto cryin lyin Ryan.

  8. kr70 says:

Reasons roster moves should have been made in July and why we should have been all in this year.
    1. Martin gone next year
    2. Pitchers won’t be as good (see #1)
    3. Will Jhay repeat?

  9. Oshie says:

Jonathan Lucroy has a legitimate chance to win the NL MVP. Jonathan Lucroy

    1. Patrick(ri) says:

Very deserving. As would this kid who just homered – not just for the excellence of his play, but for keeping Weeks on the bench.

  10. Oshie says:
    -1

    Petey! Moon shot!

    1. Like Sawchik tweeted, that ball would have been out at PNC, also.

      What a welcome sight.

      1. Cmat0829 says:

So so so sweet to win on the road and in miller park. And in dominating fashion. Hate the brewers above all. Raise it Buccos!!!!!!

  11. DJ says:

    Horrible D by Snider.

  12. DJ says:

    Eddie V!

  13. Tom P. says:

The Brewers’ fielding has been horrible the last game and a half. If this keeps up, the Pirates have a chance.

  14. Patrick(ri) says:

Beautiful. Might want to sign this Martin guy. The 1B guy shows promise, too.

  15. Lad 9 says:

Wow. If Pedro breaks out, look out….

  16. Barb says:

Wow just turned TV on to see that we are in front of the Brew Crew 8-2.

  17. tdb1977 says:

Pedro is 2 for 2 with 2 home runs while playing first base. You cant move someone to a new position in the middle of the season! What is Hurdle thinking?

    1. Ha! Good one.

    2. G8rh8r says:

      Fluke?

  18. Radio wave says:

Wow! Just turned on my phone. Pa might have to duck next ab.

  19. Thomas Armstrong says:

Important after the big inning to get a quick 1, 2, 3… Get the Brewers back on D quickly.

  20. Thomas Armstrong says:

Cant believe that we are asking the Reds…yes the Reds…for some help this weekend vs the Braves. Wow…

    1. Cmat0829 says:

      The reds have epically collapsed.

  21. tdb1977 says:

Nice to see Pedro smiling in the club house at the start of this inning. Hopefully, he can keep this going on and get on a nice 6 week hot streak.

    1. Karen22 says:

Well, it sure is now or never for this season! GREAT to see him break out.

  22. G8rh8r says:

FYI, and not that it matters, but these are the best away announcers I’ve heard yet…well, except for Bob Brenley, but as a whole they are good…fair, they know our team, not ridiculous homers

  23. Patrick(ri) says:

Gomez will be a great player if he ever grows up.

  24. Jason Baileys says:

Marte just put away the gun after throwing out Gomez. Down by 7 and you kill a possible scoring chance. Stimpy you eeeediot!

  25. DormontyDawson says:

Gomez — wow. What a dumb, dumb play.

  26. Patrick(ri) says:

JHay represents what professional sports should be about : effort, excellence, and entertainment (+ $, of course).

  27. Patrick(ri) says:

Byrd just drove in the tying runs that GBrown mentioned. Two on no outs.

  28. Arriba Wilver says:

Just turned the game on. Anything happening?

    1. Patrick(ri) says:

      Same old, same old.

  29. G8rh8r says:

No traffic on the Pirates games now that they’ve won a few, lol?

    1. Patrick(ri) says:

Sat night. Everyone is down at Starbucks.

  30. G8rh8r says:

That Braun is an odd looking dude…he’s got Marty Feldman eyes

    1. Cmat0829 says:

      He’s a Simpsons character.

    2. Karen22 says:

LOL! Bet ‘ROIDS have something to do with that! ;)

  31. HOF Coach says:

The past 2 nights in Milwaukee have been the best 48 hours of the Pirates’ 2014 season!

  32. DormontyDawson says:

Tomorrow’s game vitally important. A win makes the series a 3 game net gain on Brewers. A loss, it’s down to one. Stating the obvious, but….

  33. DebM says:

Sweep would be nice…..bring out the brooms!!!!!!

  34. Keith Hadley says:

‘Bye, Ike. Younwere a nice guy.

  35. Karen22 says:

We had family “Dr. Who” night (yes, we’re all addicted) & just kept checking the score. What a great night, especially for Petey. Broom Day, OK?? :)
