Obvious must-wins here on out for the Hounds, but I don’t know how much I’d really want them in the playoffs, anyway, because I doubt any success. However, it might be a nice building block for next year and a reward for a much-improved second half.
That’s a fair point, Doug, but I could also see the benefits of some people in and around that organization picking their chins up after what’s been a pretty tough summer on and off the pitch.
Glad to see the boys won! And you’re right DK, as far as the organization is concerned, I was merely speaking as a fan. Now, if the Hounds can pull it off tonight, I think the supporters’ section would be very amped up for the 9/6 finale.
We (the supporters group) have been talking all night about what the expanded plans might now include. The tifo was painted on Tuesday and will be mounted this week. If the team grabs even a point today, then we’re going to have to go above and beyond to rock Highmark on the 6th.
I am thrilled to see the Hounds rebound. They were playing objectively awful at the beginning of the season and have grown so much. Give me the playoffs. They fared well in the USOC (and could have beaten the Fire absent bad weather).
