Final: Penn State 13, Rutgers 10 17
DEJAN KOVACEVIC, DK ON PITTSBURGH SPORTS Getting ready for kickoff … Game: Penn State (2-0) vs. Rutgers (2-0), Big 10 opener for both, 8:02 p.m., High Point Solutions Stadium, Piscataway, N.J. TV, radio: Big Ten Network, 1410 KQV-AM Online: Game Tracker / Multimedia / Official media notes
Welcome to the BIG, Rutgers. Or rather, NYC media market. The perennial eastern “safety school” draws PSU on the very week most sanctions were lifted. The Lions ought to be very jacked for this game. I look for them to win. I’ll be watching on the BTN. Hope it’s a good one.
Digging Notre Dame’s unis. Remind me of the XFL.
This just in, the BIG really stinks.
Good call on the ND uni’s.
I’m an alum and psu fan. I’m also an sec-hater.
The one thing I’m not is a B1G apologist. They are who they are. This appears to be a very bad rendition.
The wildcat doesn’t seem to fool many these days. Killed PSU’s opening drive.
Let’s go, Lions. Match the intensity!
Rutgers really selling out on D. Gotta find the way to burn ‘em.
Very exciting game. Great comeback, PSU! Not over yet.
Big win by PSU! OL is not good at all. They need to get better. PSU fans are embarasing chanting “Joe-Pa-Ter-No” Some still just dont get it. Also glad to see Pitt beat FIU. BC upsets #9 USC and holds them to 20 rush yds That BC win looks real good for Pitt & J. Conner’s perf
Gutsy comeback win in a game Rutgers played well in. Some PSU fans want to see Joe vindicated; a lot more want to see what the coming trials yield, whether it makes Joe look better or not. Another group, like me, is all about a better future.
Great effort by the D. This D coordinator vs last year. Night and day. Oline needs some work. Hack is smooth under pressure.

Good win!!!

WE ARE!!
That’s interesting. I was thinking at various points in the game that the last 2 DC’s were 180* different in their approaches. With most of the blitzes not coming home last night, I wondered if the result would be similar – an unpopular coach.
Bradly was an excellent DC.
.
John Butler too often made wrong calls where game situations dictated more conaervative calls. 3 and 15 he would send te house and we would get burned.
.
Shoop seems to be pulling the right strings. Mixing things up and confusing the QB.
Tough game to watch but a huge win for the Lions! 3-0 feels good no matter how bad the conference is this year
Gary Nova is terrible and with a decent QB Rutgers wins. The nits sanctions will show this year even in a down Big Ten conference.
We’ll see how it turns out. The Nits D is playing great and when you have Hack you can win any game. Oline and running game needs improvement.
The wild cat must go.

Jesse James needs 10 targets a game.
