Glad you’ll be talking Pedro as I’ve been opining now is time to buy low on him. Boras has said they’re open to an extension. Wonder what kind of $$ he has in mind? Wi. Harrison now at 3rd yet 2 full years left on Pedro’s contract, I’d think we have rare negotiating leverage.
I’d be ok w a Pedro extension to play 1b, Ghost. But, as far as priority extensions go, I can’t see it getting done. There’s Russ, EV, Frankie, NW to consider also, right? Of those, I’d say only Russ & EV will be considered. I don’t know where a Polanco extension stands now.

Adrian Peterson needs to spend time behind bars. Another NFL tough guy. I don’t want to get this other thing wrong, but didn’t he also miss the funeral of another son to play in a Vikings game? If I recall, that child had been abused by a man living w the child’s mother.
It’s way past time for NFL teams to stop determining punishment for their players based on how well the players perform on the field or how much $$ they make – Steelers included. If Adrian Peterson were a scrub, he’d be an unemployed scrub right now.
Well, Jim, this is what happens when you have a commissioner who plays favorites. No consistency in regards to Spygate/Bountygate/FriedRice, so what makes you think the light will go on in this case?

NFL has 2 get out of this business entirely and let the legal system handle legal matters. If a team wants 2 waive based on violation of morality clause or something to that effect go for it. As we have seen in this and PSU case these organizations do not do important stuff well

My family has learned from personal experience that legal system is screwed up & kids are not a priority.

He’s a monster on the field but something else off.
Just saw the pics of AP son. Ugly stuff. Similar circumstance 2 relative of my wife’s and tried our best 2 get him out of the situation. Didn’t work. Neither adult a pro athlete. Just horrid at parenting. CYS basically said he’d have to be half dead 2 have parental rights cut.

Don’t know the answer but just as likely (if not more) your officer, doctor, teacher or nurse is abuser in DV/CA circumstance than a pro athlete. Hello?
In family circumstance I committed to calling the employer to let them know (and send the pics) what kind of person they had in their employ. We were advised not to, esp since we cldnt keep him and it might cause escalation when he returned.
George: I never meant to say it isn’t a societal issue, & I also never said it shouldn’t be handled by the police. Of course it should. My point is he doesn’t belong in the NFL if he does that to a 4 yr old. My prayers go to your family regarding the situation you alluded to.
