  1. Dear Penguins,
The goal we are aiming to take the puck is the one at the other end from where Marc Andre is standing.

    Go Wild!

    1. Arriba Wilver says:

Oshie–what did you think of Gotham? Looked promising to me.

      1. Oshie says:

I haven’t seen it yet. On my DVR. Hope to get to it this weekend!

    Present and accounted for.

  4. hockeymonster says:

Ok, it’s a mess. MN pinching down the wall like crazy. We covered this last season. Dmen need to cross corner murphy dump out the zone instead of going up the wall. Too predictable.

    Sitting by penalty box.

    .

Parise and folin = good dudes

    1. DJ says:

      Another SRO crowd, HM?

      1. hockeymonster says:

        SRO?

        .

Glad we pulled it out but i have thoughts…will get into it manana.

        .

Those guys were good sports, although i took it easy on them. :)

        1. Jandy says:

          SRO = Standing Room Only

          OK…report?

        2. DJ says:

Sheesh — gotta spell it out for the guy.
          .
280-character report limit yet no idea on abbreviations. Not gonna cut it, HM.

        3. Jandy says:

          :snicker:

        4. hockeymonster says:

Ha. I’m doing my best DJ. :)

Good team win and it’s still early but here it goes:
    .
Dmen need better gap control. All for 1-2-2 when oppo have clear possession but the dmen can’t give up a grand canyon like gap behind forwards. End up too flat footed and forwards can’t pressure in time for dmen to….

    1. hockeymonster says:

….step up by blue line. And as mentioned above we didn’t exactly adjust too well to pressure down the boards from D and their F3.
      .
For whatever reason it seemed like we didn’t do likewise. Our dmen were pulling back instead of trusting that our F3 will allow them to pinch.

      1. hockeymonster says:

But effort, patience and composure was very encouraging. Even when we were coughing up pucks we still played with purpose and focus. Which i appreciated considering my vantage point.

        .

        Despres needs top play. Period.
Comeau will be bigger help than most people realize.

        1. hockeymonster says:

Same with spaling. And above should read ‘despres needs to play’. Spaling is solid on the boards. Goc was a beast and all over the ice.

          .

In O-zone would like to see center point utilized by forwards to get shots thru. We have net front players, lets use them.

        2. hockeymonster says:

Not sure why bortuzzo confronted Folin who just got out of the box after getting a friendly scolding. Hope he isn’t hurt too bad. Just seemed like a shame and unnecessary considering how solid he and despres looked.
          .
Sunqvist has 3rd line center written all over him….

        3. hockeymonster says:

Jandy, can i stop now or must i continue?

        4. Jandy says:

You can stop after you tell me what happened to Bortuzzo. Did Frolin kick his rear?

        5. hockeymonster says:

They didn’t fight. Borts just stepped up on Folin by the bench and from what i saw it looked like a innocent bump. Seemed like borts knee or leg hit Folin in odd way. Maybe charlie horse or knee sprain. Not sure if borts challenged him or just hit him but play looked innocent.

        6. Jandy says:

          Ahhh okies..but still..not smart.

  7. Jason Baileys says:

Shocker, B. Bennett hurt in practice carried off the ice by teammates. Dude has talent but is more fragile than a carton of eggs.

    1. Jandy says:

      Sheesh!

    2. Jandy says:

Jason, where did you get this info?

  8. Jandy says:

    I found this:

    1. Jason Baileys says:

Yea i heard it on a sports update on the radio this morning. Not supposed to be as bad as originally thought but still don’t know how bad it is.

    .
” I thought our defensive coverage assignments were really good.”
    .
    Memo to Coach Agnew:
    .

Dzone coverage still had some confusion. Specifically PM and Goc in corner on parise’s goal. They switched then..

    1. hockeymonster says:

…for some reason tried to switch back instead of staying on their guy. PM got caught in wash and result was GA. Why switch back there?
