  1. Jim S. says:

Battle of the running games, decided by who contains the opposition running game best? Or, maybe by which team passes best? Pitt needs this game badly.

  2. Josh Newark says:

What a beautiful day for football. Let’s go pitt.

  3. PlazMan says:

    HTP!

LOVE that they brought back the Script logo!

    1. Sarah says:

      The script is awesome….

  4. Radio wave says:

Another espn impress bowl selectors game.

  5. Sarah says:

    Knee down??

    1. Jim S. says:

Yes. Not even close. That’s horrible.

  6. Florida Steeler says:

Careless play by Voytik and Conner–no excuses for either.

  7. Radio wave says:

    Amazing credit gt dback.

  8. Florida Steeler says:

    What was that defense doing??

  9. Florida Steeler says:

    Speed kills–Pitt has very little.

  10. Radio wave says:

    Ugly in a hurry!

  11. Sarah says:

    Getting late early.

  12. Sarah says:

My lord is that seriously ugly……

  13. Sarah says:

What’s the record for 3 lost fumbles fastest???

  14. Sarah says:

    I meant 4.

  15. Sarah says:

    No words.
    Well maybe one – humiliation….

  16. I have never seen anything like this at an level of football. So Georgia Tech scores four TDs in nine plays. And Pitt has four fumbles in six plays. Total 15 plays in game so far. I swear.

    1. JAL says:

      That is unreal

    2. Pitt Critic says:

I’m sure they will make up some type of excuse….
Probably blame the script helmets or something like that.

How’s that Pitt defense. Over 300 yds in 1st half. St

  17. chethejet says:

unbelievable, unacceptable, and unsupportable are three words that come to mind. Glad I decided to not waste my time with this nonsense called Pitt football today. When Pitt gets serious let me know. Until then Pitt is now pretty much cannon fodder for 21 million a year.

    1. Florida Steeler says:

Until this administration commits to field and support a quality D-1 football program, this is what you get. I don’t care who the coach is.

  18. Jasonfromshaler says:

    Wow.

  19. Sarah says:

    And now 5?

  20. Reading says:

Non-script Pitt helmet logo being readied for rest of game.

  21. Jay Baileys says:
    -1

So I missed the 1st 4, were they on Voytik? Do you bench the guy, does it even matter?

  22. Reading says:

The GT helmet logo people came ready to play. Script Pitt helmet logo people going through the motions. 35-0 a mere formality.

  23. Sarah says:

Isn’t there an alumni-players ceremony or something at half time?
    Oy….

    1. Yes. They’re in the tunnel right now. Tony Dorsett is there, too.

  24. Jay Baileys says:

Well they are on the board.

  25. Conner surprises everyone by joining Pitt goal-line formation, then punches in 1-yard TD. A lone bright spot on the day.

  26. PlazMan says:

That may very well have been the WORST quarter of football I have EVER seen! And that’s saying a lot cause I’ve been watching since the 70’s!

  27. PlazMan says:

Not for nothing here, but games like this are why Pitt can’t move forward as a program or sell out their games. I almost went, but had a previous family engagement. Would have been a perfect day to walk up to the gate for a game. Thank God for family!

  28. Florida Steeler says:

What do Pitt coaches see in LaFayette Pitts?? He is not good.

  29. Biz says:

Unfortunately, Pitt is Pitt and I don’t know if that will ever change

  30. Oshie says:

Just got back from my own homecoming. Commentators called it one odd half. Pitt needs a three and out by GT to start 2d half.

  31. After the start to this game…the fact that Pitt is still in it a half time is miraculous!
Could you imagine what coming back from a performance like that would mean to the team?

  32. Oshie says:

    Clearly a bounce.

  33. Jim S. says:

Pitt has made a ton of mistakes. But, it would be nice if the refs could get a few more calls right. Fortunately, the catch won’t stand. Or, will it? Can’t believe they are taking this long.

  34. Jim S. says:

Can’t remember a game ever where one team benefited so much from calls that could easily all have gone the other way.

  35. Oshie says:

Unbelievable start to second half. Sheesh.

  36. Jim S. says:

And, I’m not defending Pitt’s poor play. But, some of these rulings are real head scratchers.

  37. Reading says:

Whenever your team’s announcers say “a lot of time left,” you know that your team is down multiple TDs.

  38. Jim S. says:

It’s obvious Pitt’s only chance is if they can cause fumbles real soon here. I said yesterday I thought that would be the difference, as I didn’t think either team would stop the other on downs often.

  39. Oshie says:
    -1

It is kind of cool to see a Head Coach at this level run plays in with his backs.

  40. Reading says:

Failure to stop GT on 4th down has allowed the last 5 minutes of the 3rd quarter to run off. Pitt D not doing anything to contribute to the cause. Only bailed O out of 1 turnover. All other TOs resulted in TDs.

  41. JrBear3SED says:

    LOVE THE SCRIPT!!!!!

  42. Reading says:

Pitt might get the ball back with about 4 minutes left down 21.

  43. Oshie says:

Just what the doctor ordered. Now a good drive.

  44. Reading says:

Sieve Defense. GT fumbles, D forces a Pitt 3 and out. Pitt punts, 2plays later, or was it three, dude runs untouched 50+ yards for a TD. At least Pitt will get ball back for 3 plays.

  45. Jim S. says:

Not a lick of defense played by Pitt all day.

  46. Reading says:

    May as well onside kick.

  47. Reading says:

“Gold out” crowd needs to come alive.

  48. Bridge says:

That crowd just looks pathetic in that picture. Can they please build a stadium on campus. There are enough students alone to fill a stadium but it is too much hassle for them to head downtown.

    1. Eric Bowser says:

Can we please just end this argument about the field location? No one went to the games in Oakland either. It isn’t like 17-24 year old students are unable to figure out how to take a bus to Heinz. They figure it out to get to Station Square or South Side easy enough.

  49. Macchamp74 says:

    Yikes
Checked in to Pitt game….56 points against…wow
And only a couple hundred fans in the stands…
Sad. Not a very good advertisement for Pitt football to TV audience around country.

  50. Eric Bowser says:

At what point are the excuses about Graham and the coaching carousel no longer valid? What happened today was embarrassing. I’m talking 72-0 bad. Yes that 72-0 loss to Ohio State bad.

  51. theplanisworking says:

Hmmm, searching for any positives ……….
    .
    Conner not season-ending hurt.
    Script helmets.
    Game didn’t go a 5th quarter.
    .
    Thanks Pederson!

  52. Oshie says:

Agree. I don’t even the understand what the debate was on that pass review that ultimately ends up with GT points.

  53. Jim S. says:

Did you see the Voytik fumble on the first play? I didn’t think it was even close to a fumble. Then, Boyd fumbled as his elbow hit the ground. Also easily could have been no fumble. I think Calvin Johnson is the replay official.
