Pitt 61, Boston College 60, OT

We're switching to a simple logo identifying the sport for all teams except the big three. Keeps the process a little easier.

But then you change it so my comment makes me sound like a wacko. :)

It's called "Jamie-Ball".
These players aren't really that bad if you watched them play over the summer at Greentree.
I'm a supporter of Dixon and Pitt BB, but Dixon has to change. Can't make excuses of lack of on-campus facilities, etc as Pitt BB facilities are probably in the Top 15 in the country. Pitt demolished Pitt football stadium to build the "Pete" to become a "Basketball School".
Dixon has been on a downward slide since 2009.
It's a vicious cycle and comes down to recruiting and retention of players.
Elite Players are not attracted to "Jamie-Ball" which causes poor recruiting.
Those that do come, don't last long... Birch transferred after 10games and Adams was 1 and Done.
If you can't attract Elite players, Pitt becomes mediocre or 1 and done in NCAA.
and that is what has happened the last 5 years.
Dixon needs to adjust/change the style of play. That has to happen first in order to attract elite players.

For instance, I love Newkirk over Robinson. Every day and twice on Sunday. But, Newkirk is not allowed to do what he does best. Drive to the basket. Take them off the dribble and go. Nope, he has to pass, pass, pass then start looking for the shot with 10 second left in the shot clock.
Look what Dixon has done to Jeter for instance. Jeter played significant minutes at Vandy (no slouch of a BB school) and was considered a top player at Vandy. Here, he lost his confidence and not allowed to "play his game" because he has to play "Jamie-Ball" if he wants to see minutes.

I soured on Pitt football long ago and I'm just about at that point with Pitt BB.

Yeah, I think its going to be a rough year.

I am just hoping Dixon stays at Pitt
