Barry Trotz.

So Trotz got rid of "the glide in his game" ?

Dejan Kovacevic

Trotz just made the whole team more responsible defensively. That's always been his thing.

Ya,I knew that too. (full disclosure .. I Googled long enough to find that out)
DK... you knew that, but you are a pro, and I a rank amateur! LOL

Trotz and a career low on-ice shooing%, that has predictably regressed.

Pens list first line as 14, 87, 39. Why not have Hornquist on that line instead of Kunitz?

I love when a respected journalist uses such an appropriate technical term to voice displeasure :)

pens are getting close to that run as the team gets healthy. don't underestimate just how important those wingers are to Sid and Geno. Perron, Horny, Bennett, Comeau and a good third line is very tough for opposing teams to hang with for 60. Spaling was very good at center last night. HMMMM. Sutter better step up his play.

Let's see if Sid got some rest should be flying like Perron last night.

Ugh. Gotta put up with the NBC studio twits. Or, we could go eat during period breaks.

I know Ovechkin is a load, but that was pretty weak by Despres.

Best to not let no.8 loose in front of the Flower again.

Hornqvist not with Crosby and Perron is very questionable. Love this coaching staff but my god some things don't make sense.

"Obviously" Sid wants his buddy Kuni
Would like to see Horn w/ Sid..

Quite possibly borderline fantasy type stuff that Dejan doesn't like much but couple thoughts that run through my head while watching and taking into consideration of Jagr/Kunitz talk lately: Get rid of Kunitz (obviously with a return). Put Hornqvist on first line with Crosby and Perron. Maybe get Jagr. Not sure about 5 on 5 wise, but on the PP put Jagr on the half wall and put Crosby where he should be down low.

I don't know about anyone else but I just can't stand these NBC announcers they can't have anything good to say about our Penguins. They are soooooo slanted in their comments

Hey Pierre could be the Pens GM. They are front runners like most TV guys, the winning team is doing a lot of things well, the losing team not so much.

I don't know if I can take Pierre bowing down to the Caps much longer.

A bit surprised that Orpik got an 'A' in his first season with the Caps. I realize he had the respect in the Pens dressing room, but you'd think they'd let him play a year there first before giving it to him.

Wonder if Caps' fans are still unhappy with his contract thus far? I know it was widely and loudly derided when he signed it.

Orpik is playing Sid pretty hard so that might endear him to the DC masses.

chethejet

Orpik is not close to the player of five years ago. He is still immobile and has no shot to speak of. The Caps over paid for sloting the D with Orpik and Nisky. Not sure what MJ is looking at with Kunitz. He is not the player of yesteryear and showcasing him with that contract is folly.

A. Lane
1-28-2015, 9:22 pm
Not sure Niskanen is overpaid, contract is a little long, but cap hit is not bad.

Going to miss Goc! Let's see what the new guy can do. Coach has already worked a miracle turning Downie into a responsible scoring machine, so I will give it time till he gets the guys he wants in the places he wants!

What's Ehrhoff's shooting percentage on net? Maybe 25%?
