How to give a gift subscription 18

DEJAN KOVACEVIC, DK ON PITTSBURGH SPORTS

More and more readers are asking us how to give subscriptions as gifts, so …

Plain and simple, buy the subscription level you want. Do it under your name, your PayPal or credit card, just like it was for yourself. From there, email us at [email protected] with the name of the person getting the gift, as well as his or her email address.

We’ll do the rest. And if it’s a birthday or some other occasion and you want some kind of personal note attached, I’ll whip up something.

Thanks to all who have asked and done this already. It’s much appreciated.

Someday, we should sell coffee mugs. :)

Thank you! Will gift subs also be recurring (if gifting less than lunatic)? but really, why do anything less :)

We’ll make them whatever you want. And thanks.

Will an internet historian someday note that this was the first instance of a blog entry concluding with a smiley emoticon? If so, I can say I was there. :-D

  3. Timothy Lambert says:

Hey now…leave the coffee mugs to those of us in public radio.

Coffee mugs? I want jackets, damnit!

    1. NMR says:

Needs to be a jacket just to fit the darn title.

Holdzkum’s story has a feel of The Natural to it. In a twist, the chubby bat boy is Neal when Clint tells him, “Pick me out a winner — 98 mph gas, Nealie.”

First I’ve heard his name was YESTERDAY! Where did he come from??

      1. Jandy says:

I’ve never heard of him either…and I went to bed and missed his debut!

      2. Been in Indy for a while and Altoona for a short time before that. Got him mid-year.

26 years old. Drafted by the Mets in 2006. Born in Pasadena.

      3. Jandy says:

I totally missed him in Altoona…maybe because I couldn’t figure out how to say his name lol

      4. Karen22 says:

I stopped paying attention to the game after the Cards answered Marte’s dinger with another run. But I flipped over in the 9th to see the BIG guy’s last K. Holy moly – he was dealing! BTW – not watching today. I have agita over the last two games.

      5. Arriba Wilver says:

I think he only pitched 4 times in Altoona.

    2. Milo Hamilton says:

      Chamique Holdsclaw ?

      1. Jandy says:

        Coleslaw?

    3. DJ says:

If you only read about him, you’d swear it was the Sidd Finch story all over again.
